South Eastern ,ILL | Today with all the rainfall predicted we decided to only plant 30 acres & work on
a Rock Shoot to control soil loss on a farm. First you have to fill in the gulley,
get the grade you desire, dig a key to install the filter cloth, let the cloth extend
down the back slope, then add rip rap to hold the cloth in place. There is a lot of
hand labor involved, but the end result is very satisfying. Over the years we have
built over 40 of these for erosion control.
