Subject: If corn into green cover works what about soybeans

East Central Arkansas

We have some more cover crop that will be planted to soybeans. We just got through planting some corn into green winter peas and burning it down after planting. Still a little concerned about it coming through that thick mat. We got it sprayed early this morning and are getting rain now. It didn't rain until about 4:30 so the spray should have been on plenty long enough. What about soybeans planted into the green stuff. Will the soybeans be trying to come up before the cover dies back. I am sort of scared I might even have that problem with the corn. Hopefully with the beans I might could get the timing of the spray a few days ahead of planting but still get planted while it's green. Planting into the green we didn't have a bit of a problem with the cover wrapping on the spiked closing wheels.
