Subject: Dust in seed meter

central nebraska
I'm planting with a new Deere maxemerge vacuum planter this year, and had some trouble yesterday with dirt/dust getting inside the meter units and actually stopping the flow of seed. Was running on dry bean ground with lots of wind. Tried tightening the plates in some but it didn't seem to help. Have any of you had this problem before and how did you fix it? We had rain last night, so that should fix my problem for now but want to know what helps if it happens again. Seals are all in place. Have run vacuums for 8 yrs and this has never happened to me before. Changed vacuum pressure anywhere between 12 and 18 and it didn't seem to make a difference. TIA
