SE South Dakota | I have 80 acres that has a pretty decent slope to it over the last decade the gullies have been slowly getting worse. I have been transitioning over to no-till/ strip till from conventional tillage. I am hoping that in it self will be a step in the right direction. I am curious if I should take the plunge and put in push up terraces or give it a try with no-till and farming on the contour. The terrace plan NRCS has giving me has the terraces parallel which looks a lot easier to deal with than some of the older terraces I've seen! I am looking for any pros and cons you guys can help with...Any help is much appreciated! | |
