Subject: Atrazine Carryover and Sunflowers

Anyone ever seen Atrazine carryover hurt them the following year when planting sunflowers? We have traditionally put 1 pound of atrazine down on our Corn and then followed the corn crop with a crop of sunflowers. Have never seen damage from the 1 pound of atrazine carrying over. This year we are going to plant some milo and were going to put 1 pound of atrazine down now and then another down in about a 6 weeks. Just curious if anyone has ever seen 2 pounds of atrazine ding sunflowers a full calender year later? I know some publications say it won't work but they say even a pound won't work and we have never seen that be a problem. We are silt loam soils with PH running most of the time in the 6's. Thanks
