NESD | Bought some wheat seed yesterday and the salesman came out and talked about Ascend and how amazing it is and the huge yield gains etc. He is trying to talk us into treating our wheat seed with Ascend and Warden Cereals HR, both by Winfield. Anyone have personal experience or yield data on this? Cost is $6/bushel to treat and we would probably plant at least 2 bushel/acre if not a little more. So this would cost at minimum $12/acre. Would we get this back? I have read other posts about better emergence and better roots but they don't necessarily mean that there will be at least $12 more per acre. TIA | |
