Thinking of getting a 5830 and setting up to do earlage and silage in the fall, would chop around 200 acres of earlage. Don't know it this is the way to go or get a pull type and 2 or 3 row snapper head. what are your suggestions. Not a huge fan of giving the custom guy 17000 when he shows up 2 months late and cattle are waiting 4 corn.
Opinion on 5830 Harvester?
