Subject: Big loss in the ag ed world in Kentucky

Breckinridge Co. , Kentucky
One of the finest people anyone could ever meet passed from this world today. Dr. David Coffey, who was one of my professors at Western Ky U., found out a month ago that he had stomach cancer and passed away today. If a person had any dealings with Ky FFA or ag education, you probably had dealings with or knew Dr. Coffey. He always had a quip or phrase to fit every occasion and made everyone feel at ease. My wife is having a tough time dealing with his illness having been an ag ed grad student of his and FFA advisor who learned so much with his guidance. The fond remembrances from former students, ag educators and friends have poured into his facebook page since his passing and truly show what an impact he has left behind. The good teachers leave memories for a lifetime. RIP Doc
