I have 4 or 5 stumps that I don't want a ginormous hole but want the stumps gone.  They are too big to even cut off at ground level.  What I am thinking about doing is boring into them low down, then pouring either used oil or diesel fuel  down the holes and lighting it off.  Can't really think of a better way right now.
