Subject: New Fuel Storage and Spill Prevention Laws

Sumner County Kansas "The Wheat Capital"

Just got this from our State Farm Bureau. Lets hope it get through the Senate and POTUS.

H.R. 311, the Farmers Undertake Environmental Land Stewardship Act (FUELS Act) passed the U.S. House of Representatives Monday. The bill requires the EPA to exempt from the Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure rule any farm with an aggregate aboveground storage capacity of 10,000 gallons or less and no history of spills.

Representatives Tim Huelskamp, Lynn Jenkins and Mike Pompeo were among 73 co-sponsors of the bill.

The measure now moves to the U.S. Senate.
