Subject: spray trailer: flow loss and 90 deg elbows

Central Ohio
Bought a used trailer setup last year. 2" pump with 2" suction and discharge. 8 hp Kohler engine. I am only getting about 80 gpm into my sprayer with water and 60 gpm with 28%

The pump and engine are 20-30 years old and pump has never been serviced. I am looking to pick up some flow. I am planning on tearing down the pump and seeing what it needs.

Next: the suction side of my outfit has 5 90 deg elbows before the water reaches the pump not including the turn down inside the tanks.

I can probably get rid of 3 or maybe 4 of them if I work at it and re configure some stuff.

Would this gain me anything? Any idea how to calculate how I am losing through those elbows?
