I have a hen that has gone broody. It is cold here. If I leave her with the eggs will they even stay warm enough to hatch? Has anyone had experience with a winter broody chicken? I want to hatch chicks this spring and it would be nice if I had a hen to do the work for me, but I think this is too early. What are your thoughts? The coop is pretty protected but still cold.
