Subject: 9750STS - trouble with clean grain and return elevators slowing down

Rivers, MB
'03 9750STS Western Canada Special (don't think that should make a difference).

When the tank gets almost full in wheat, the clean grain elevator slow speed warning comes on. Only does it when its almost full, never when emptier. Sometimes the return elevator slow speed warning comes on as well at the same time. Suspect it has something to do with the amount of wheat in the hopper is causing extra force required to turn the clean grain elevator.

Have checked the following. Sensor on LHS of clean grain auger on bottom of combine that feeds the clean grain auger seems to be fine. The bubble up auger dimensions are the same as a new one. The belt that drives the clean grain elevator is tensioned properly and does not show signs of slipping.

What else could be causing the clean grain auger to start slowing down when the tank is almost full. Standard hopper. No aftermarket extensions. Dry wheat. 70 bu/ac. 64 lbs. When the warning light comes on, we can stop and leave the machine on and it seems to clear itself. Go another few hundred feet and the warning comes on again (assuming once the machine gets fully loaded again).

Any ideas? Clean grain elevator paddles too worn?

Thanks in advance.
