Subject: Best way to regulate oil flow?

I'm looking to put together a rate control system on a crop sprayer using a Trimble CFX750 and Field IQ.
The sprayer pump will be a hydraulically driven Hypro centrifugal pump with a maximum oil requirement of 7 GPM.
I'm trying to weigh up in my head how best to control the oil flow to the Hypro pump, Servo valve or PWM valve?
The oil flow will be held when the master switch is turned off so no need for a "fast" servo valve.

Would I get more accurate rate control using a PWM system?
Most of the time I would be sending much less that 7 GPM of oil to the pump more like 2.5-3.5 GPM I have read that you want to run in the upper half of a PWM valves flow range to get best performance from them, how much of a problem would this be? What valves should I be looking at?

Thanks for any help you can give, B'o'B
