Subject: variable HYBRID planting test rig??????

20 Miles West of Indianapolis Indiana
Becks has done some yield trials on variable hybrid planting with a kinze planter. They have shown positive results so far...

What would it take technologically speaking? I thought you could use a poor-mans twin row setup with a planter pulling a splitter bar set around 4-5" off.
I figured you could use row clutches to shut off one planter and then turn on the other. I assume you'd have to use RTK tto keep from having long skips in the field when switching from one hybrid (planter) to the other.

Ultimately i think a moneseum twin row with individual boxes would work well if one had $120,000 to spend for it.

Im sure im just thinking out loud here, don't expect me to whip one up this winter......

Would there be AG grants out there for someone to build a 6 row rig?
