Subject: Bedding Options for Fat Holstiens

NW IA

I am buying bedding for my steers on self feeders and have a chance to buy some large square straw bales, either oats or wheat. I have only used corn stalks so far. My question is will the steers eat too much straw and cause problems? Would wheat or oats straw make a difference?
