Converse Indiana | We have a wagon with an auger on it for a seed tender. With treated seed
the last couple years we get cracks and splits to the seed with the auger. We
Have tried running it slow, fast, keeping it as full as we can or running it emptier.
Doesn't seem to make any difference in the amount of cracks.
The auger pulls hard with treated beans not with untreated beans we have been
adding graphite to the beans which helps but still cracks a lot of them. Would a
belt conveyer work better? What is the draw back with them? I don't see many
around here a lot of augers used but not conveyors. Thanks
