| I posted on this website a couple weeks ago about signing a seed grower contract with Monsanto in Redwood falls MN. Finally got the contract the other day and one thing I seen was the potential for the grower to load and possibly haul the beans to the Redwood facility. I was told all along that they would come and pickup the beans with their own truck and grain vac. All I had to do was supply the tractor to run the vac.
I called the Redwood facility and he told me that they would still take care of the hauling and that the contract was a nationwide contract used by all Monsanto plants, so ignore the hauling language. I feel that I could be stuck with hauling in a legal binding contract that I sign. The problem with this is that I'm 80 miles away from Redwood and 2 miles away from my local elevator. There goes most of my premium. What about you guys close to Redwood Falls? Any experiences. | |
