southwest minnesota | Talking with a gentlemen the other day and he mentioned a friend of his is looking for someone to feed some cow calf pairs (1st calf heifers mostly) for a few months before he sells them. He would calve them out at his place and bring them to your lot as pairs. How do you set a price per day for taking care of them? I would assume you would charge more for yardage on cow calf pairs than you would for steers, especially if you supply feed, bedding, and machinery. Also does he supply and medicine and stuff like that or do you get it as needed and just add it to the bill? Just a few questions as i was kicking around the idea. Thanks in advance. | |
