South-East South Dakota | I'm wondering how everyone figures this. I read on a post last night that some are in the 100 k to 150 k range. Depending on how some things figure into this I'm on the low side of this. We are a 4 person family with a 7 and a 9 yr old. My wife is a teacher. How do you guys figure in all your insurances? We haven't been on vacation since 09. We also do not have vehicle payments. We do have a house payment that is about $20000 a year. It seems like we have a lot of expenses when we don't seem to be living frivolously.
We have cancer, health, accident, and life insurance that is all out of our pocket. My wife's school district does not contribute to those.
We are concerned if we are living beyond our means. We are fine now but always worry about the future and cattle prices and rain....
How do you tell if you are living beyond your means?
