Subject: Precision vSet versus Kinze Edgevac

Iowa
Hello all:

I would appreciate hearing comments comparing Precision Planting's vSet to the current version of Kinze Edgevac. I know that earlier models of Kinze's Edgevac had a tainted reputation for singulation. However, I have also heard that Kinze has made improvements to the Edgevac in the past couple of years. A friend is trying to determine whether to go with Edgevac or vSet on a 2013 model Kinze 3660 split row. He has Precision eSets on his other JD planter.

It appears that cost would be very similar between the two options. The cost savings of ordering the Kinze planter without meters would be about the same as adding the vSet system to the planter.

Any and all comments/experiences would be appreciated.

(Also posted in Machinery Talk...)

Thanks!
