Subject: Something must be scareing my cattle at night

Washington Co Ks
I weaned some calves the middle of Sept. After a couple of weeks I let them run in a bigger lot and they have been fine until Fri. night. The fence on one side isn't very good so I have two strands of electric wire along it. They tore it down and got out into the pasture sometime Fri. night. I got them back in and fixed the fence both the electric and the barbed wire. They went through it again Sun. night. I penned them up in a smaller lot that has cattle panals all around it and all was fine until last night when they broke down the panals in two places and got out again. They arn't at all wild when they are out and not real hard to get back in and really calm when penned up. I think something is coming in and making them run. I have them penned in the catch pens tonight and plan to let them into the panaled pen during the day and pen them up again at night. I'm planing on selling them in a week so I want them there when I go out to load them.
