Subject: Took off some harvest time for the twins

NW Iowa. / SW Arizona
We got to baby sit the twins this past Friday & part of Sat. morning before they went to see the other grandparents. So I took the day & a half off to be with the twins. They got to ride in the tractor with grandma & sit on grandpas lap while we combined just a little corn to give them a taste of what cron harvest is like. We went slow & they had a good time. Elliana was a little intimidated with the corn stalks coming at us but mangaed to surviive :-).

In the afternoon we went to a local park & grandma wanted to get some pictures of their new Holloween outfits she bought them. They got their first look at what a milkweed does in the wind. Noah was really intrigued with it & Ellie wasn't to sure what to think of it.

I couldn't think of a better way to spend a beautiful day with the grand kids. It's funny how my attitude has changed over the years when it comes to harvest. Their is no way I would have taken time off when our kids were little to do what I did. I'm sure glad I am smelling the roses in my grand kids. The harvest will be there tomorrow morning & I have some great memories & pictures of my time off.
