Subject: Sowing wheat "ole skool"

Kingdom of Callaway - Fulton, Mo 65251
I had 20 acres of silage on terraced ground so I wanted to cover it for the winter. I decided to sow some wheat. For fun, I got Granddad's Massey Harris drill out of the shed, greased it up, and away we went.

I had no operators manual to set the drill for wheat. But when I opened the lid, right there in Granddads handwriting was all I needed to know:

Middle son Matthew was in charge of refilling the drill and my cows thought the sound of opening the seed bags might involve feed so they came to check things out.
