Southeastern Kansas | I like the celebration and the fireworks are fun to watch but some people are so dumb I wonder how their heart remembers to beat. Lost 60 acres of double crop beans last night about 7:00PM. Wild fire took it fast. Found a half chard roman candle about ten ft inside the field. I worried about it all week because it wouldn't take much to get one going . It also got the corner of a corn field. Guys said it looked like the fires in Colorado when it hit the tall corn. Said they might not have been able to get it out if they were a few minutes later. What a deal. | |
