IL. | talked to a guy a little south of me, he's not a farmer so he was asking, he noticed a corn field by him that the bottom leaves are falling off the stalk, I asked if the stalk was fired from the bottom up and he said yes, I asked if it was tasseled and had a ear and he didn't remember but will look the next time he passes the field, I told him I would assume the corn is dead and gone, have never seen this in all the yrs. I have been through a dry spell, things are sure going bad around here and the long range forcast doesn't help me sleep any better, best of luck to all. Bob | |
