I need to weld on my hinges to fold my outer wings on my sidedress bar. Its a 12R30 bar that I added on to make 40+ ft for sidedressing with 17 coulters on 30" spacing. I'm wondering what dimension will work to lift them and still make them fold as I want. The wings are 64" long 7"x7" bar and will each have 2 Yetter 2995 coulter assemblies on them. See pictures for a better explanation. How close can I have my outer cylinder link to the hinge and still lift the wing with a smaller cylinder? I don't have exact weights on the wings and coulters but I just need to ballpark it. Looking for opinions in general. Thanks in advance for the help.
