Manitoba | I'm real new to air seeding. Switched to a bigger cultivator for the air seeder we bought last year and went to set it last night and I can't find a calculation for setting the cart up with the bigger implement width. Probably a brain freeze on my part but the manual contains nothing about implement width other than going to the field and calibrating. Manual has fan settings for the width we are going with but nothing about seed rate by implement width. Were seeding barley at 2.5 bu/acre @ 48 lbs / bu = 120 lbs/acre , I can set the cart for that but but how do I adjust / increase rater for greater implement width? thinking there should be something to get me close before doing the calibration.
It's a small Bourgault cart 2115 and were going from a 25 ' cultivator to 37. I could just do a % increase for seeding rate but seems to me there must be a calculation I'm missing here.
