Subject: 4250 v. 4450

Oregon
I'm looking at a clean low hour 4250 MFWD. As I recall, the mechanicals of the 42 and 44 are the same. So-as you may be guessing, I'm wondering if I can turn a 42 up to 44 hp ratings. Is the only difference the pump, or are there other specifications in play like piston cooling, rear ends etc?

Thanks.

-Mike

This place also has a 4440 FWA sitting around- pretty clean with easy hours (pulling a small square with its own power plant around) in case anyone on here is crazy about FWA 40 series Deeres...
