F350 Not going into overdrive

Subject: F350 Not going into overdrive



Macon, IL		Transmission connections all good, no blown fuses-little knob on end of shifter has it set to on.

But running about 2500 RPMs going 65 mph. I feel it shift 2 times, but never seems to reach overdrive.

Funny thing is if I am going 50 and push the Overdrive OFF button RPMs jump way up. Not sure what is going on.

What to check next?
