Subject: Farm mapping/accounting software

NC Iowa
We are looking at a different farm accounting software for 2013 (would like to get somethng now to learn the program before year end 2012). We are also looking for a mapping software program that is user friendly and could be somewhat tied into our accounting/field/enterprise units. Currently we use a 20/20 planter monitor for planting and use a free Mapshots program for planter maps. We use JD yield mapping on the combine. All other GPS units are Trimble. What type of experience has anyone had with SMS or Farmworks software and their support with the software ? I've heard that the Farmworks can be hard to learn, but the part that interests me with that is it's Trimble owned and with most of our equipment having Trimble GPS, looked easiest to work with. Compatability ? Doesn't have to be detailed, but upgradable. Any other software programs we should look at ? We are just cash grain (corn/soybean) farmers. Thank You ! Mr.D
