Oregon | Page 29 of the 9R/9RT brochure:
"The falling object protective structure (FOPS) provides added strength to the top of the cab, giving the operator additional protection from falling objects in rigorous scraper applications."
I do not know anything about scrapers.
What kind of objects fall on scraper tractors? I only see scraper tractors in fields- I assumed that if you were cutting roads along a cliff, you would use a fully screened / caged Cat.
The brochure pictures a 9RT with "FOPS" pulling a pan across a field - so I don't really get it. What does FOPS protect you from, trees? Space junk?
On another note: The rear fenders on the 9R look like they were patterned off of the 5010 standard fender. Pretty cool.
