Indiana | I have an on going question I can never get an answer from anyone at the gas station, so I thought I would ask it here. Now I know asking clerks behind the counter my question might not be the best people to ask this question, but I love to see the looks on their faces when I do.
Question is:
Why can you pay for a tank of fuel at the pump and spend $75-100$ without signing anything? But if you go inside to pay for your gas you have to sign a damn receipt. Or if you use your card to pay for a snickers and a pop you have to sign. Why is it that once you step foot in the station you have to sign. I love asking the clerks this question and most of the time I get the shoulder shrug:) I have told them I am not signing before and that cause all sorts of problems.
Does anyone know the answer to this??
Thanks
