western iowa | Anyone running VRS in Iowa? We have a trimble fmx and raven slingshot TRYING to use the Iowa CORS. Our results have been terrible. Somehow being in the middle of 5 surrounding counties with CORS towers isnt good enough. We dont have one in our county and we're the guys having trouble all the time. Trimble says they can fix us right up with a DCM-300 modem and VRS subscription of course. Funny though, that the Trimble guys at the IPFS last week couldn't really tell me where the Trimble bases were or why they were that much better than the IA CORS, or why the slingshot wasn't good enough. Leaves me really frigin skeptical of all of them.
