Subject: Western Canadian wheat markets - post CWB

Rivers, MB
So its finally here.

What are your thoughts? Viterra blinked first and came out with a price. Other companies are coming out with prices yesterday apparantly and today. Are they what you thought they should be? Is the basis what you thought?

Anyone price any wheat?

I spent some time on Viterra's website looking up the price of wheat at different locations. Difference is about $11/tonne w/ price being the highest in MB. How is that possible? Are they taking freight back from Thunder Bay for all 3 provinces? I was always told that there was a line going through SK somewhere that split which way grain moved cheaper Thunder Bay or Vancouver.

I'm not understanding something. What am I missing?
