sw MN | I was at the hefty field day a few weeks ago and I have seen there tiling DVD. I am surprised how all there outlets are into a grass water way or a road ditch. Is this common other places too? I understand it is cheaper but doesn't it just create a new wet spot?
Here in sw MN most all tile systems have mains that drain into drainage ditches. County mains were put in 90 - 100 yrs ago and more privite mains since. Very few outlets are dumped into the road ditch. An outlet in a ditch here is like a spring all year and in most cases it would really Pi-- off a neighbor.
