After going through a bunch of leftovers from the 4th my wife and I have been discussing how long it is safe to keep leftovers in the fridge without freezing them. Do you treat something you prepared at home, say a roast or ham, differently than something you purchased already prepared such as ribs or sliced meat from a meat market? How about non meat items such as vegetables or potatoes?
