There was a post on the crops along I-80 so I thought I would post what I saw this weekend on a trip from western MN down to the Ozarks. Down I-94 in MN and south of Minneapolis for about 50 miles the crops look fairly good but have a long way to go with some uneven and drowned out spots. After that they looked further along and look pretty good. In Iowa they looked real good until about 20 miles north of Des Moines and then they still looked pretty good just a little uneven and some drowned out spots. From Des Moines south for about 50 miles they looked way behind and some looked pretty bad with a couple of fields just being planted. After that they started looking pretty good again. In Missouri I thought they looked real good with a lot of corn tasseling or about to tassel. Overall I would say that they looked a lot better then I had expected but there is still a long ways to go. |
