![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=627&type=profile&rnd=534) South Central Kansas, Harper County | My agronomist had me do a burndown of 1# Diuron, 14 oz 2-4-D, 29 oz Traxion, prior to planting cotton. Very Dry when I did this back in April, and planted cotton first part of May. I have terrible marestail in large areas of the field, pretty disappointed as this field was in a cover crop last fall with Austrian winter peas, oats, vetch, and radishes . I was hoping for a very clean field.
My agronomist claims most of the marestail came up late, since it was so dry, and didnt really come on until after cotton was planted into good moisture. I had a competing agronomist tell me if I would have used Prefix in my burndown, I would have had 30 day control of the marestail. Really confusing to me.
Any comments?
thanks,
