Subject: A Red Clover Question

Schomberg, Ontario, Canada
As an organic grower, I have been mowing my red clover in June, and taking seed in the fall, and trying to plant a winter spelt crop after it. I am finding it harder and harder to sell the seed, as many others are doing this whether it be conventional or organic, and the price of the seed is very low. My question is, do you get a similar benefit from the clover if you plow it down the first fall, or do you have to leave it the next year to get any decent benefit from it.
Thanks!
