Subject: Egg identification

Northwest Iowa
I was windrowing hay yesterday and came across a nest of eggs just before tractor wheel ran over them. . I called my wife and she came and got the eggs and put them in incubater. They are to large for pheasant eggs. There was no hen any where. the nest was lined with down and the eggs are off white. I put one chicken egg in photo so you could compare size wise. Hope they hatch and if they do will post pictures.
