Bardstown,KY | Here are some pictures of the worst corn I have and have ever had at this stage. This is on 40ac that I rented this year right at planting time and didn't get soil samples ,it has been in beans for 5 years and in hay before that. Some of the ground was cutup with the combine last fall and I chiseled and disked it twice before planting and the rest is notill. All the corn is the same with everything being done the same other than notill vs tilled ground.The corn in the notill ground is a 1/3 the size and has yellow leaves with brown dead tips. I couldn't tell any difference in the corn untill we sidedressed 150lbs of urea 7 days ago and since then the notill ground has went down hill. We used 1 gallon per ton of agrotain with the urea and in 7 days it is still on top the ground just like it was when it was spread as you can see in the pictures. I have some other pictures of the corn for anyone to see what they think .
