Tip of the Thumb of Michigan | Am I dreaming or is it possible? We are 100% conventional till and have pretty flat ground. I would probably look at something 4or 5 years old and it would need to have starter fert, but vacuum isn't a must. I know vacuum takes alot of hydraulics. We currently have a 12 row 7000 with dry fert and finger pickup and the tractor just plays with the 12 row. We run some down pressure for planting corn. I would like to upgrade the planter and I'm not sure if I should go right to 16 row. I don't need 16 right now, but I have some opportunities coming in the next 2-4 years. Any way I would rather not have to upgrade the tractor at the same time as it would be enough cost as it is. |
