| Now that wheat and barley harvest is over, custom manure spreading crews are working hard to get as much manure out as possible. We started spreading on Wednesday, but had a breakdown on the tanker (still not fixed). On the way to the Houle dealer, I saw the biggest crew in the area spreading manure for a dairy guy. They have an MX 230 on a DM pump at the pit, one 5400 imp gallons DM tanker (on the farmer's 7150), and two 7000 imp gallons DM tankers on JCB 8250 tractors. Tractors can go 70 kph, but they can't go faster than 55 kph when loaded (engine at max power). Application rate: way too much per acre!
