Subject: Question about rebuilding/repairing JD single disk drill openers.

What method do you use when you are faced with say rebuilding the entire opener or even just replacing the main arm pivot bushings? Do you prefer to remove the opener, or do the work with the opener on the drill? I imagine this may depend somewhat on the opener spacing.

If you remove the opener, what method do you use for the romoval and re-installation? Especially if you are working alone.

I know the Hagen brothers have an awesome drill stand for these situations, but I dont know how many others have such a setup if any.

 Thanks.
