Subject: looking for JD 9660 & 9670 owner input

Spring Grove MN
I am looking for information on what you ran for settings on your machine this year (2009). I am interested in knowing what people running 8 and 12 row corn heads were set at. We traded from a 9560sts to a 9670sts this fall. We run a 894 head with the Calmer updates. I did not see any capacity change going up a size. I am pretty disappointed in that fact. Deere says it is just the year but I have talked to some that ran the same machine at harvest this fall as the last one and they have said they had little to no capacity loss between years and their settings were not that much different. We have 200 acres left to do this spring and I want to see if I was way off base in what I found for settings (looking for that capacity increase).

rotor speed 300-380
rotor spacing 25-29
fan 1100-1200
chaffer 23 (wide open)
seive 6-8 (to keep cob out of tank)
ground speed 3.5-3.9
yeild 160-170
moistue 20-24

I can get more through with other settingsbut the fines were unacceptable.

These are generals but where I spent most of the year.

Thanks for any input shared!
