Subject: Paying a tile installer.....need help

SE Michigan
Got a field that needs one string of tile to drain the only wet area, can't afford to tile the entire field yet. anyway......found a guy to do what I need for $900 (approx 1000' run)

Tryed to do it today and there was too much frost in the ground, his trencher could not cut it. He went an got the tile and brought it out to my field. After we both agreed to do it in the spring, I went and paid for the tile ($300). Now he is asking me to pay him $500 for his time to shoot it with the laser. He also needs me to dig 200' with my backhoe because his trencher will not go deep enough, that was NOT in the origional quoate, but I agreed to it because I need it done realy bad.

My biggest fear if I pay him that much he will not show up again in the spring when he is bussy with other jobs. (not getting a real good feeling for this guy, he always seems to have an excuse or problem with something)

What should I do.......
