just a tish NE of central ND | Would a 8 row 800 IH planter without any fertilizer or attachments be heavy enough to penetrate stuble/ stalks to do notilling with some sort of row cleaners /trash wheels/attached?Or is the extra weight of the fertilizer equipment/ boxes/nessesary to hold down the planter into the ground?I dont believe that 8 row planters without factory fertilizer have the same frame across the front of the main frame as one that has fertilizer,so the machine would be lighter in weight. Or wouldn't that matter?Isnt a 8 row machine lighter per row to begin with than a 12 row?
Also, how can the markers be modified so you coud see the mark in deep stubble? No auto steer here yet.
TIA
