Decatur, Michigan | I'm am nearly completed with my custom Liquifire, I am looking for ideas to improve off the line performance for short quick bursts on the trails in the northern lower peninsula of Michigan. I think it is a little slow to pic up speed. Is there a different clutch to buy for improved performance or am i just looking at changing the gear ratio in the chain case.
Also, has anyone put AAEN pipes on a vintage sled with success in achieving more horsepower. They are nearly $550, so I would like to hear from someone experienced in putting them on a Liquifire like mine. They work great on my newer more modern Yammi triple 700, but I am somewhat skeptical on the 440 twin.
How about carberation? Do the "flat slides" add more response compared to the "round slides" ? I would buy if I got some extra performance. It is a great vintage sled with low miles, I love to ride old school but I want the punch of a newer sled, Just looking for any ideas.
