Subject: Shop Door(s) Placement

Need some advice from those with experience on placement of doors for new shop.  We are in the initial stages of planning for an 80' x 120' shop most likely with 24' bays.  One certainty is that there will be a 40'x20' bi-fold in one end most likely facing east.  Struggling with these two options; (1) Put two side doors on a south sidewall, one in the bay furthest from the end door and one in the middle bay. or (2)  Turn the building and face the big end door to the south then place door in opposing sidewalls of the middle bay creating a bay 80' long that you could drive through.  Opinions?

I really like the idea of a drive through bay, but worry about a west door failing and ending up with wind damage to the shed at some point.  The building will be used as a shop and storage for tall equipment which right now would be two airdrills that won't fit in any barn we own.
